-Nishiki Market: 20 minutes by bus
Stalls sell everything from barrels of tsukemono (pickled vegetables) and cute Japanese sweets to wasabi salt and fresh sashimi.
-Arashiyama: 30 minutes by train
Seemingly endless bamboo forest is the best place for relaxing in the nature. When sun lights shines throughout the trees, it seems a magical place.
-Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine: 10 minutes by train
Thousands of vermilion torii (shrine gates) makes sacred atmosphere.
One of the most impressive and memorable sights in Kyoto.
-Kinkaku-ji: 40 minutes by bus
Completely covered by brilliant gold leaf. This shiny and sparkling temple reflects in a pond, which is truely spectacular.
-Kiyomizu-dera Temple: 35 minutes by bus
The veranda of the main hall juts out over the hillside, supported by 13-meter-high wooden columns. You can also enjoy shopping along a path to the temple.
